Green Beans with Bacon and Onions

Ingredients

1-16oz bag Frozen Green Beans, cooked just until tender and well drained
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 medium-small yellow onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp light brown sugar
1/2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 slices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled

 

Cooking Directions

Coat a large nonstick skillet with the olive oil and preheat over MEDIUM heat. Add the onion, thyme, salt and pepper. Cover and cook for several minutes, or until the onions are wilted and beginning to brown. Add the brown sugar and vinegar to the skillet and cook and stir for another 30 to 60 seconds. Add the green beans and bacon to the skillet and toss to mix well.
